Ilfopro Photographers Association
lford Imaging holds an annual photo contest for its Ilfopro Association
members. Ilfopro is a national association of professional and amateur
photographers sponsored by Ilford. Open to all photographers, membership
is free and includes newsletters several times a year. The winners
were chosen from nearly 1000 entries from the U.S. and Canada. The
Ilford Marketing Group of North America judged the photographs,
choosing a total of four winnerstwo winners in color and two
in black and white. Each winner was awarded a check for $1000 for
their exceptional photographs.
In the Color category the winners were Jim Flory of Mt. Angel, Oregon
and Kenneth Lehman of Hagerstown, Maryland. In the black-and-white
category, Tom Fougerousse of New Albany, Indiana and Phillip Geller
of St. Joseph, Missouri were chosen. All the images were singled
out from other entries in the contest because of technical excellence,
creative approach and aesthetic appeal. Winning photographs will
be published in the upcoming Summer issue of the Ilfopro Newsletter.
Because of the high quality of work submitted by Ilforpro members,
the judges added an Honorable Mention Category. The winners in this
category were Daniel J. Dinges of Woodburn, Oregon, Clifton Faust
of New Orleans, Louisiana, Jim Flory of Mt. Angel, Oregon, Phillip
Geller of St. Joseph, Missouri, Peter Michelena of Camden, Maine,
Robert Needham of Hollywood, Florida, and Steven J. Volpe of Buffalo,
New York.
