Mid Atlantic Regional School of Professional Photography
Grand Hotel, Cape May, NJ

MARS is one of the leading schools of professional photography in the country and has one of the most attractive locations. All students and instructors stay in the beautiful Grand Hotel, right on the beach in beautiful Cape May, New Jersey, with its Victorian architecture and quaint Jersey shore atmosphere. All classes are held in the Grand Hotel, but many of the on-location sessions are held in the lovely town. There are also sunrise sessions held right on the beach. This will be the seventh annual Mid-Atlantic Regional School of Professional Photography.

Instructors for MARS 2003 include Joe Buissink on wedding-photojournalism, Jane Connor-Ziser on Painter, Lynn Damon on children’s portraiture, Darton Drake on portraiture, Carl Leinbach and Glen Gray on basic Photoshop and workflow solutions, Greg Stangl on basic portraiture and marketing, and Monte Zucker on wedding photography. Tuitions range from $795 to $925 and
the fee covers virtually everything—tuition, hotel room (double occupancy), all lunches and dinners, final night banquet, parties, trade show, sunrise sessions, evening presentations and much more.

California Photographic Workshops Campus of Menlo College

The California Photographic Workshops was founded by a group of working professional photographers based in the San Francisco Bay area. These photographers shared a goal to create a quality educational program for other photographers both in their area and across the country. California Photographic Workshops offers a wide variety of courses that are of interest to beginning and experienced photographers, alike.

The school session will be held at the Menlo College campus, just a short drive from San Francisco International Airport. Accommodations on-site include meals and dorm-style lodging.

The 2003 California Photographic Workshops curriculum includes: Hanson Fong on weddings, Don Blair on portraits, Peg Buckner on digital portraits, Suzette Allen on Photoshop, Don Emmerich on Photoshop, John Teague on basic portraiture, Jeremy Sutton on Painter, Jon Johnson on glamour and fashion Photography, Lisle Ramsey on sales and marketing, Robert Starling on web site construction and maintenance and a special oneevening presentation for the entire school, featuring the portraiture of Michael Taylor.

The Professional Photographers of North Carolina put on the annual East Coast School, which brings together some of the finest photographic presenters anywhere.

Here is a list of the classes and presenters for this year’s East Coast School: “Introduction to Professional Portraiture” with Gary and Kathy Meek; “Go With The Flow (Digital Workflow, That Is)” with Mark Barnett; “The Power of Light” with Tony Corbell; “Weddings From Start to Finish” with Bob Boyd; “Making Money With Children’s Portraiture” with Nancy Mickle; “Photoshop for Photographers” with Dr. Glen Cope; “Ignite Your Mind” with Don Emmerich; “Back To Nature” with Tony Sweet; “Backgrounds 101” with Michael Greene; and “A Week with Big Daddy,” Don Blair. Tuitions range from $495 to $600 (before December 31, 2002) and include all meals and social events.
