Albums Inc. Moves to New Facility
After 27 years at their current location, Albums Inc. has relocated to
a larger facility on the outskirts of Cleveland, Ohio. More than two years
of research were needed so that the move would not create an interruption
in order fulfillment. The new facility is state of the art and designed

• New Legion Papers

“Day in the Life of Africa”
One hundred of the world’s top photojournalists recently traveled
to 53 nations in Africa with a unique mission: To capture the incredible
complexity of African life in 24 hours for the Day in the Life of Africa,
the first-ever “Day in the Life” book photographed entirely
in digital. Olympus, the project’s underwriter and sole camera provider,
supported the photographers with a complete digital imaging solution from
digital cameras and dye-sublimation printers to comprehensive training
and on-site support. Each photographer was equipped with an E-20 SLR digital
camera. About 250 photographs (a mix of color and black-and-white) made
it into the final book, which will be on sale in the United States and
Canada by the time you read this.
• Inter-State Studio Appoints New District Manager for Texas
Inter-State Studio & Publishing of Sedalia, Missouri has appointed
Fred Hightower as district manager for San Antonio, Texas and the surrounding
counties. He will be managing the sales and delivery of the company’s
full line of photographic services to elementary and secondary schools
in the region.
• Digital Output Center
Digital Output Center (D.O.C.) has announced its range of film and digital
services including: digital file proofing; film process and proof services;
candid and package printing; volume package printing services; digital
templates for wedding albums and senior portraits; VIP sports program,

• Orvieto Fotografia 2003
All of the Italian professional photographers Associations (ASCOFOTO/Confcommercio,
onfartigianato Fotografi, SIAF/CNA and TAU Visual) have confirmed the
town of Orvieto as the official venue for the annual International Convention
of Professional Photographers. The FEP (Federation of European Professional
Photographers) and the WCPP (World Council of Professional Photographers)
have granted their patronage to this extremely important event, which
is the only truly pan-European event for professionals. On the agenda
will be speakers from 10 countries (Italy, France, Great Britain, Spain,
Argentina, Brazil, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) and as well
as 10 different conferences and 30 seminars. The event will be held March

• College Curriculum Course on CD-ROM From the ASMP Foundation
The ASMP Foundation, an education arm of the ASMP, American Society of
Media Photographers, Inc., has produced a CDROM for photo educators which
is available free of charge. The complimentary CDROM contains the ASMP
Professional Photographic Practices—A Business Course Curriculum,
sample forms that photographers use in business, and information and forms
from the U.S. Copyright Office. The curriculum is intended for photography
instructors, specifically to help them develop programs for their students.
The CDROM also has a number of free Copyright and ASMP forms included.

• Buckeye Color Lab Takes New Direction
In a restructuring move, Buckeye
Color Lab has announced that Steven J. Troup assumes the titles of CEO,
president and treasurer and Bob Hendrickson becomes executive vice president
and COO. Troup and Hendrickson are the management team that has grown
the company from $2 million to over $9 million in annual sales in just
nine years. In accordance with this restructuring, Buckeye has implemented
Studio Developments™. This innovative information network is a series
of customer-centered programs and services concentrated on helping studios
